October: Prototype, Paperwork, & Power Plays
Spooky season has hit the Bay, NBA tip-off is here (I am a Celtics fan and irrationally confident), and we’re this close to sweater weather. I’m writing from ye olde Mother Tongue Café with good coffee, pink windows, and good vibes.
Product & Design 💫
Prototype V1 is moving. We’re shaping the storefront and reader so digital comics feel tactile and alive.
Business Infrastructure 🏛️
Guys, we are a Delaware company in good standing. It was no small feat but with that documented FACT, our bank accounts are live, paperwork is clean, and we are set to accept checks.
Data & Research 🧠
Two surveys are in draft: one for readers, one for creators. Comics data is sparse, so we’re building our own panel. Goal: a broad net plus a core of 100 passionate readers we can tap for rapid testing. In parallel, we’re running ads for BINARY and MONUMENT to refine messaging and capture customer signals.
Fundraising 💵
Active conversations continue. Target remains $100K by Thanksgiving and $500K by February. Weekly targets: 25 DMs and 5 meetings scheduled.
